International A-Level Programme (IAL)

Welcome to Sayfol International School

Sayfol offers an Internationally recognised IAL programme in Year 12 and 13. This is an 18 months programme and is geared towards the Pearson Edexcel IAL examination.

Pearson Edexcel International A-Level is accredited by UK ENIC (UK National Information Centre for Global Qualifications and Skills), the national agency responsible for providing information and expert opinion on qualifications and skills worldwide. This program is also globally recognised in many of the top global universities around the world.

The Sayfol IAL intensive Programme is made up of 3 semesters and conducted based on a modular structure with no coursework. Our IAL qualification enables students to study in a collaborative environment that nurtures and prepares them for the next level of their tertiary education. Guided by our experienced team of teachers, Sayfol has maintained an excellent academic record with our students being awarded the Pearson Academic Excellence Award for being the Highest Achievers in the region, country and the world.

Our small class sizes enable our students to be given quality attention and guidance. In addition to their chosen academic program, students are encouraged to participate in community service to further develop soft skills which will benefit them in the future. A minimum of 3 IAL subjects and a maximum of 4 subjects is advised, as students also have the opportunity to do some non-IAL electives. Subjects offered in the IAL Programme are:

An intensive programme covering 3 Semesters. Our June intake for the IAL qualification enables students to study in a collaborative environment and nurture themselves for the next level of their tertiary education.

More academic development and procedures for university applications and interviews are provided during the study support programme, and students are nurtured and prepared to face the challenges of university applications and interviews.

In the years following that, Sayfol has taught me invaluable lessons of friendship through the students and teachers I have met and become acquainted with. The jovial bouts of laughter we enjoyed in lessons that were altogether too tense for growing minds, hung on joy. Leadership, during my period serving the Prefectorial Board of our school and through my efforts and opportunities granted to me, becoming Deputy Head Prefect. Along the way, I met different types of people, made friends, lost a few and, not to forget, learned something new every day.
