Asia International Mathematical Olympiad Open (AIMO Open) is an annual international Olympiad competition originated from Hong Kong. It is organized by the Asia International Mathematical Olympiad Union since 2012. AIMO Union is an international charitable organization with a mission to provide teenagers from different countries with an international platform to explore their mathematical potential, broaden their mathematical horizons, improve their scientific thinking, engage in cultural exchange, and enhance friendships.
Students who have won Gold/ Silver/ Bronze/ Honorable Mention Awards in SASMO were invited to join AIMO (Asia International Mathematical Olympiad) held from 27th to 31st July 2024. One such student participated in AIMO 2024 in Incheon, Korea over the holidays and won the Bronze medal. This proud Sayfolian is Aarav Singh, from Primary 4.
Aarav Singh has also achieved an Honorable Mention in DOKA. Depth of Knowledge Assessment (DOKA) is an International Mathematical Problem-Solving Competition held annually around the globe. Reasoning Skills is one of the most important elements in higher-order thinking. Reasoning is the action of thinking about something in a logical, sensible way and finding an answer to a problem by considering possible options. Students who have won Gold/ Silver/ Bronze in DOKA will be invited to join the Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO) Final.
Aarav’s achievements are proof of his dedication, perseverance, and passion for mathematics. Competing on international platforms such as AIMO and DOKA not only challenges students to think critically and solve complex problems but also encourages them to embrace a global perspective in their academic pursuits. Aarav’s success highlights the importance of nurturing intellectual curiosity from a young age and showcases the strength of Sayfol International School’s academic programs in preparing students for such prestigious competitions. As Aarav continues to excel in his mathematical journey, we are confident that his accomplishments will inspire his peers to aim high and explore their potential in the world of mathematics and beyond. We are incredibly proud of Aarav’s achievements and look forward to seeing what he will accomplish next.
