Six-Day Rotating Schedule
At Sayfol, our academic timetable operates on a Day 1 to Day 6 rotation, rather than fixed weekdays (Monday to Friday). This means that if Monday begins as Day 1, the following Monday will be Day 6, and Tuesday will then start again as Day 1.
The reason behind this system is to ensure fairness and consistency in learning opportunities. In Malaysia, there are many public holidays. Additionally, whenever a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday is also observed as a holiday. Without a rotating system, subjects scheduled on Mondays (or other frequently affected days) would often lose out on lesson time.
By rotating days, we ensure that all subjects receive equal attention, regardless of when public holidays occur. This allows us to maintain balance across the curriculum, prevent disruptions to the syllabus, and give every subject its rightful place in the learning schedule.
House System
At Sayfol International School, our House System plays an important role in fostering school spirit, teamwork, and healthy competition. Students are assigned to one of five vibrant sports houses:
Tulip
Marigold
Clover
Shamrock
Violet
Throughout the year, our houses compete in a wide range of sporting and co-curricular activities, encouraging students to build leadership skills and resilience. More than just competition, the House System nurtures a sense of belonging and pride, uniting students across different year groups as part of a supportive and dynamic community.
