On the July 4, 2019, 47 students accompanied by three teachers ( Mr Deva, Ms Eviyanti & Mr Ruban) visited the National Science Centre. The aim of this activity was to provide a hands-on learning of the science knowledge by using Information and Communication Technology (ICT)..
Upon arrival students were greeted by a ‘Cupola’. Standing below the structure and saying “Hello” that created a tremendous echo, triggered the curiosity of the students. That was the warm welcome to a remarkable experiential learning. Many of them witnessed fresh water fishes swimming above them for the first time as they were escorted in.
Noticeably, they participated actively in all the activities and without hesitation questioned the teachers for deeper understanding.
The interactive learning came to an ending in a visit to a haunted house in the National Science Centre. Their triggered minds received a fun dose of adrenaline rush as they cruised the haunted house.
The team arrived safely back to school at 2pm. It must be highlighted here that, besides this being an educational trip, bonding among the students has become stronger. The interaction between them improved so has the motivation towards the subject.
