Dear students, parents and guardians,
Welcome back to School!
I would like to start this message by saying that it is with a heavy heart that I formally announce the retirement of Mrs. S. Kamalanathan (a.k.a. Mrs K) as Secondary and International A-Level Principal. I am sure many of you are aware that Mrs. K has devoted a large part of her life to the students, families, and school faculty – 36 years to be precise and it goes without saying that throughout her time with Sayfol, she has demonstrated great love, commitment and tenacity. We wish her the best as she embarks on this next chapter of her journey, and on behalf of the Sayfol community, I would like to say, Thank you Mrs. K!
As they say, every cloud has a silver lining and to this end, it gives me great pleasure to announce the promotion of Ms. Michelle Jane to the role of Principal of the whole School effective from this new Academic Year 2021/2022.
Many of you already know Ms. Jane as our current Primary School Principal. For those who are not aware, she has enjoyed a successful and fruitful career in Education for over 18 years having taught in New Zealand, England and Malaysia. Her experience is diverse and she has either taught at or been involved with every teaching Year Group from Kindergarten to International A-Level. In addition to a Post Graduate in Teaching and Learning from Christchurch College of Education, Ms. Jane holds a Masters in Education from Otago University, New Zealand. Her dedication, hard work and thorough attention to details in carrying out her role over the past 4 years has been much appreciated by the school community. Congratulations Ms. Jane!
I am also delighted to welcome Ms. Tracy Huxtable back to Sayfol as Head of Academics, Teaching & Learning of the School. Working alongside each other, we are confident that both Ms. Jane and Ms. Huxtable have the skills and dispositions necessary to help grow the school further with the primary objectives of fostering a positive learning environment for learners at all levels, and inspiring teachers and students alike towards academic excellence.
We are all excited about what lays ahead for the 2021/2022 Academic Year and with your support we know that we will continue to grow as a school. For now, take care and stay safe.
Yours Sincerely,
Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Haji Ghulam Mohd Sayeed
