WWF Visit – Primary 2
Having studied the wildlife in Kenya, Antartica and Madagascar this year, Primary 2 were thrilled to have a look at an animal closer to home here in Malaysia, the turtle, when representatives from WWF came to talk to them on this week. Our students were fascinated to learn that 4 out of the 7 species of turtle in the world could be found in Malaysia. The speaker, Mr Lasal Asirvatham, kept the children on the edge of their seats for the best part of an hour. At the end of the session, the children presented a cheque to the WWF, from the proceeds of a pizza sale they had run at school as part of their drive to raise awareness about endangered species.
Thank you so much WWF for the great work you are doing here in Malaysia!
